Peran UMKM dalam Meningkatkan Kesejahteraan Masyarakat Desa Jagara, Kabupaten Kuningan melalui Pendekatan Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD)

Abstrak

One of the reasons why Indonesia is ranked relatively low in the education system is because A prosperous life is the main goal of the community, one of which is through the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) which have proven to be able to survive in various crisis situations and play an important role in creating jobs. Jagara Village, Darma District, Kuningan Regency, has the potential for MSMEs based on culinary specialties processed by tutut from Darma Reservoir and natural tourist attractions, but the community's welfare is not evenly distributed due to limited empowerment strategies based on internal potential. This study aims to identify local assets, analyze the contribution of MSMEs to community welfare, formulate strengthening strategies based on Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), and evaluate the challenges faced. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation and in-depth interviews, as well as data analysis using the Miles & Huberman interactive model. The results show that the application of the ABCD approach is able to optimize the local potential of Jagara Village through the utilization of natural resource assets, community skills, social capital, and cultural values so that MSMEs contribute to increasing household income, creating jobs, and strengthening social solidarity. Despite facing challenges such as limited access to online distribution services and high competition, Jagara Village MSMEs demonstrate independence in maintaining business sustainability through product innovation, digital marketing, and the values of honesty and trustworthiness instilled in the training process.
