Focus and Scope

Al-Barakat publishes reports for sharia economics researches and original articles on the latest issues and trends occurring nationally and internationally in which promotes the development and dissemination of new knowledge in:

  • Islamic Banking
  • Contemporary issues in Muamalah (Sharia Economics)
  • Issues in Muamalah practices
  • Discourse on positive law and Islamic perspective concerning sharia economics

Open Access Policy

Al Barakat is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.

Copyright notice

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.

Peer Review Process

The journal uses double-blind system for peer-review; both reviewers and authors’ identities remain anonymous. The research article submitted to this online journal will be peer-reviewed. The accepted research articles will be available online following the journal peer-reviewing process. Languages used in this journal are Bahasa Indonesia, Arabic, and English.

AL Barakat is published semesterly (May and November)
